Mexican Style Outdoor Session

There’s something magical about outdoor photo sessions that capture the essence of childhood. Add a splash of Mexican-inspired flair, and you have a recipe for a truly vibrant and memorable experience. At Gloria Mesa Photography, we recently had the pleasure of organizing a Mexican-style outdoor session for kids, and the results were nothing short of delightful.

Embracing Color and Culture

Mexico is known for its rich culture and vibrant colors, and we wanted to bring that energy into our photo session. From traditional Mexican for boys like sombreros and woven baskets, every detail reflected the beauty and spirit of Mexican traditions.

Choosing the Perfect Location

Location plays a crucial role in setting the scene for outdoor photography. For our Mexican-style session, we selected a picturesque setting that echoed the charm of a Mexican pueblo. Think rustic adobe walls adorned with bright papel picado (decorative paper banners), cacti standing tall against the backdrop of a clear blue sky, and wooden benches draped with serapes (colorful blankets).

Celebrating with Props and Decor

Props are key to creating an authentic atmosphere. We incorporated traditional Mexican elements such as piñatas bursting with vibrant colors, maracas for the kids to shake with glee, and bowls filled with juicy tropical fruits like mangoes and pineapples. These props not only added visual interest but also encouraged the kids to interact naturally, capturing genuine moments of joy and laughter.

Location

I genuinely was overjoyed by the experience. The kids outdid themselves well, and they listened to me and had fun. Honestly, I think the Pony helps a lot.
We selected the outdoor session; kids must be outside so they can feel comfortable and not feel pressured by the lights and the wall of a studio.

Details

The celebration of Smashing the Cake has been a fun session that I started doing with all of my clients after their newborn session. This celebration was at year one; the little ones enjoyed making a mass and eating it too!
In conclusion, we chose Santa Clarita Park after scouting the location In addition, I was so lucky to find some cacti looking like we were in a ranch.

Once we arrive at the locations if there are little animals you must acclimate them to the site. The animals are scared just like a kid will. So, we also got a professional handler to keep the pony and to move it as we needed it.
