What to wear to a Sangeeth Mehndi Party?
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Today, I am going to talk about and showcasing about the beautiful Sangeeth-Mehndi party that I had the pleasure of photographing.
In traditional Punjabi wedding traditions, the sangeet is hosted by the bride’s family. It is a boisterous night with drums and songs. Unlike the more formal wedding and reception, there is no real dress code. Even though there is a more casual approach to sangeeth, with the groom and his family often being gently lampooned with song and dance, you need to be careful. There will be many family members there, and you don’t want to offend. The best tip when thinking about what to wear for sangeet night is to make sure you don’t wear anything too inappropriate.
Mehndi:
Mehndi ceremony is the application of henna using very elaborate intricate designs on the bride’s hands and feet of female attending the wedding.
Sangeeth
It the celebration before the wedding day, most of the Sangeet is hosted by the brides family. Everyone sings, and dances are choreographic to impress the future couple and all the guest invited. I did notice that lots of family members meet for the very first time in the night.
