Malibu Engagement Session | Caitlin and Jay

Caitlin and Jay are so adorable together. We met to do an engagement session and I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous because when Caitlin hired me to be the photographer for her wedding, Jay was not able to meet with us then. So, after I met him, all of my worries went away. He is sweet and caring and enjoys the location that I suggested for this session; I scored!!
After we finished at Paramount Ranch, we drove to Malibu where we continued the fun with laughs and more pictures in company of Jayden, Jay little girl…

How we met:
I was attending Wells Road Baptist Church when, one day, Jay came to church. I had to make announcements in front of the church, that morning, and Jay says he knew then that I would be his girlfriend, even though we didn’t really hang out or talk for another two months. I wasn’t really looking to date anyone. I was busy with school and work, at the time, and focused on myself. We did start hanging out in late June and Jay asked me to be his girlfriend, at the beach, the night before I left for Europe for three weeks.

How he proposed:
On our one year anniversary, Jay didn’t tell me where we were going. He took me to get fresh sushi from the Channel Islands Harbor then took me over to the boat that he had rented. He had put candles and roses as well as romantic music. Just the two of us drove around the harbor eating and talking when we stopped and he pulled out the ring and asked me to be his wife. I said yes right away. The first person we told was his daughter, who was ecstatic.

I love this images of them:
